Facilities Tech
 
Position Summary: Under direct supervision or under clearly defined procedures, responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment, and physical structures within the call center.
 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Oversees the planning of equipment and building maintenance.
    • Visually inspects and test furniture, fixtures and equipment.
    • Conducts preventative maintenance as scheduled on equipment.
    • Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures.
    • Maintains facility grounds.
    • Repairs and maintains physical structures of the building.
    • Dismantles defective furniture, fixtures and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
    • Diagnoses problems or repairs of furniture, fixtures and equipment.
    • Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers and wiring, electrical parts, and electronic components of furniture, fixtures and equipment or the facility.
    • Assemble, install and maintain furniture systems.
    • Informs Facility Manager of potential hazards at a location.
    • Legibly fill out maintenance reports, incident reports and time sheets.
    • May be required to maintain logs and records of activities.
    • Maintains facility security systems.
    • Manages outsourced security and janitorial services.
    • Submits requisition for expenditures to center leadership.
    • Implement best practices for cost savings for site expenses such as utilities and other facilities costs.
    • Assists with planning, budgeting and schedules facility modifications including estimates, bid sheets, layouts, contacts, and labor/material requirements.
    • Handles and supervises repairs of equipment/s and replacements whenever necessary.
    • Attend meetings to address concerns of operations.
    • Implement corporate policies pertaining to facilities matters.
  • Oversees, performs and records all preventive maintenance and equipment inspections to ensure proper performance and quality standards are met.
    • Serves as the facilities presence on the Health and Safety committee
    • Investigates health and safety issues and work with Human Resources and site leadership to resolve issues such as air quality, pest control, and ergonomic requests.
  • Coordinates with outside vendors to ensure quality work is performed at competitive rates.
  • May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned and/or required including leading or participating in projects as necessary. 


Job Requirements


YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years maintenance experience required.
 
Education and/or formal training:
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent combination of education and related experience is required.
  •  Electrical, plumbing and HVAC preferred.
  •  Fluent in verbal and written English.
  • Able to multi-task, have demonstrated organizational, detail orientation, prioritization skills and time management skills to ensure that work related activities are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team oriented, high demand and fast paced environment. 
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and work with highly sensitive data and information.
  • Solid communication skills to effectively deal with various levels of management, staff and/or outside contacts.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a professional and positive manner.
  • Effective listening skills to ensure understanding of instructions and directions and effectively communicate progress and problems to co-workers and management.
  • Familiarity a variety of office equipment, standard software packages and application and use of personal computers to include the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • Must have basic reading and writing skills to be able to count, read instructions and document necessary paperwork.
  • Solid skills in mathematics including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Demonstrated problem identification and problem resolution skills used to effectively determine and implement alternative solutions and bring issues to a positive resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex of problem; gleans meaning from whatever date is available; is a quick study of the new and different; adds personal wisdom and experience to come to the best conclusion and solution, given the situation; used multiple problem-solving tools and techniques.
