Performs more complex accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements. Reconciles more complex accounts and checks the accuracy of journal entries to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete. Checks and analyzes financial information and prepares more complex financial reports and accounting statements so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions. These reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, cash flow, debtor and creditor lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports and filings. Provides technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities. Coaches less experienced accounting staff and helps them resolve problems.





Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Ø 95% - Performs more complex accounting activities in accordance with accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources and ensures that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.



§ Reconciles more complex accounts and check the accuracy of journal entries to ensure that the general ledger is accurate and complete.



§ Checks and analyzes financial information and prepares more complex financial reports and accounting statements so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making financial decisions. These reports may include profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, cash flow, debtor and creditor lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports and filings.



§ Provides technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.



§ Coaches less experienced accounting staff and help them resolve problems.



§ Analyzes and records recurring monthly journal entries, receipts and memorandums for such accounts as fixed assets and depreciation and investments. Ensures that all journal entries are accurate.



§ Performs bank reconciliations.



§ Analyzes invoices and escalates as needed.



§ Reviews receipts, journal entries and memorandums.



§ Computes taxes (not income) owed. Prepares tax returns and schedules to be used for tax return, ensuring compliance with government regulations.



§ Coaches less experienced accounting staff and helps them resolve problems.





Ø 5% - May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned and/or required including leading or participating in projects as necessary.


Requerimientos del empleo

Education and/or formal training:



Ø Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Accounting from a four (4) year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience is required.

KSA’s Job Specific:



Ø Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).



Ø Solid analytical and problem-solving skills including problem identification, analysis, action planning and execution.



Ø Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
